Photos of former actor and 4th District of Leyte Representative Cong. Richard Gomez are currently the talk of the town on several social media platforms and entertainment news sites because there is no trace of his past as a matinee idol.
One of those who openly criticized Cong. Richard Gomez’s current appearance is writer-director Ronaldo Carballo.
In a Facebook post by writer-director Ronaldo Carballo, he revealed that he hardly recognized Richard Gomez anymore and that he could hardly believe that the former matinee idol he admired looks like this.
“I haven’t seen him in a long time. Is this really how Richard Gomez looks now at 58?” Ronaldo said in an almost unbelievable statement.
“It’s like he’s internalized his status as a Farmer and Provincial Politician too much.
He can’t even get a haircut,” he added.
One of the reasons Ronaldo Carballo sees as to why Richard Gomez looks like this now is because of his entry into politics.
If he were still active as an actor, she is sure that he would still be a handsome man today.
“Oh, if he hadn’t gone into politics, he would still be an active leading man in TV and movies and he is still a handsome man today. I miss my actor friend and the only Adonis of Philippine movies.”
In the comment section of her post, she conveyed a message for her friend that she should take care of her physical appearance. Even Richard Gomez’s wife, she also gave a message to monitor her husband because it seems that he is neglecting himself.
“It’s okay if the stomach is a little bulging. Just don’t let yourself look unkempt or very untidy.
It’s not like he’s no longer an actor, he’ll neglect his looks, which can still be maintained.
I hope as a wife, Lucy also takes care of and monitors Goms’ appearance.
At least get a haircut.”
